Learning About Fasting by Listening to Feel Better Live More" podcast" (PART 1)

I have been fasting off and on for the last few years. Every time I have done it, I have felt the benefits. Yet each time I do it, it also feels like it is the first time. Your body is literally cleaning itself up and making repairs so you feel differently in your body if you allow yourself to pay attention to what is happening. You are not just sluggish or hungry, or mentally clear. You are giving your body time to heal itself and, in the process, change your relationship with your addictive behaviors.

I mentioned in my prior post that I listened to a YouTube clip on fasting. Well here it is. I went online and found the YouTube clip so I can supply you with the link so you can learn what I have learned in such an easily digestible way.

The clip is from my favorite health podcast entitled “Feel Better Live More” hosted by Dr. Rangan Chatterjee. Dr. Chatterjee, the author of “Happy Mind, Happy Life”is based in the UK and he has a very engaging way of making complex medical information not just digestible to the regular person but also understandable.  The clip is entitled “The Insane Benefits of Fasting & Foods You Need to STOP EATING!” In this clip he interviews Dr. Pradip Jamnadas. I have never listened to a more empowering conversation on not just how but why I need to be fasting and healing my body.

I encourage everyone who reads this post to take the time right now to click on the link and listen to Dr. Chatterjee and Dr. Jamnadas explain the benefits of Fasting. It will be well worth your time.

Check back in next week and I will let you know how my weeklong fasting adventure turned out! So far, I am feeling better with every passing day and the weight is coming done. More importantly, I know after listening to this podcast, I know I am creating ketones, lowering insulin and blood sugar and making serious progress in my healing journey.  I know that fasting is not the answer in and of itself. It is the tool to help me kickstart my body into working more efficiently. The next step is eating healthier foods to assist the reparative processes while I am fasting.

It is my hope, I have stumbled back upon the best way to lost my 53 lbs and reclaim my right to be healthy, happy and living my best life! After all that is the point of this blog and this new chapter of my life.
